The provincial People’s Committee will cooperate with the Vinpearl Land Tourism Joint Stock Company to organize the event, according to the ministry’s Decision 1336/QD-BHVTTDL issued on April 14, Vietnam News Agency reported.
The qualifying round will be held from May 20 to August 30 in Ho Chi Minh City and Hanoi for contestants from Vietnam.
Contestants living in the American region will compete in the US, and those from Europe will gather in the UK.
Russia will be the venue for beauties from the former Soviet nion countries and the Republic of Korea for those living in Asian countries.
The event will be the second of its kind after the first was held at Vinpearl Land, Nha Trang in 2007 in which Ngo Phuong Lan won the crown.
The Culture, Sports and Tourism Ministry has allowed the central province of Khanh Hoa to host the final round of the Miss World Vietnam 2010 beauty pageant in Nha Trang City.
